Film club “Plateau” was founded in the winter of 2015. We were looking for ways to understand each other and the world through films, while having warm and simple conversations. “Plateau” was created not in need to correct or comment on films, but rather to accompany them through a shared experience. We became aware of the kinds of films we are interested in, the things we want to talk about, the people we want to discover and, above all, the language we want to speak — “Plateau” has turned into a multi-lingual borderless film club. In order to link the environment and filmic experience, “Plateau” screenings are now perpetually changing locations. Within the online realm, “Plateau” seeks to preserve all the mysteries and uncertainties of films, through the medium of a writer. Their thoughts from film to text.

NOTE FOR A WRITER
We would like to invite anyone who is not a stranger to words and a lover of films to propose a text in any language.
A text inspired by a film, a text about a film, a text extending a film, a text as a filmic experience, a text as research, a short story, a personal review, a poem, a script, a letter, a song, etc.
“Plateau” was founded by Austė and Gailė who continuously develop this project. Austė Zdančiūtė is a film lover, independent film and video curator, and freelance translator. Gailė Pranckūnaitė is a graphic designer based in Vilnius.
